Applications for the $30 million Harris County Small Business Recovery Fund program are now live. The application portal opened Monday, July 13, and the application period will run through Friday, July 24, at 3:30 p.m. Maximum grant awards of $25,000 per applicant will be disbursed to Harris County small businesses with 30 or fewer employees. Harris County expects to serve around 1,500 small businesses with the Small Business Recovery Fund, or SBRF.
The SBRF prioritizes small businesses that have not yet received funds from other Covid relief programs, and it prioritizes the smallest of the small businesses and the owners that have lower incomes. The program will not operate on a first-come, first-served basis — but rather on a randomized selection process.
Remember that your business most be based within the limits of Harris County to qualify. Other details are as follows:
Applications can be submitted online starting Monday, July 10th at 8 a.m. and will remain open until July 24th at 3:30 p.m.
