Attorney Jonathan Jackson is your Houston community lawyer, serving the greater Houston area and beyond. After a short career in the NFL, Attorney Jackson attended Thurgood Marshall School of Law where he graduated at the top of his class. Due to an already diverse legal career, which includes a federal clerkship, Attorney Jackson was able to identify the need for a law firm that both serves the community and puts the client’s needs first. Aysia N. Mayo-Gray

Aysia N. Mayo-Gray is a local attorney in Houston, Texas. She is originally from Washington, D.C. She attended undergraduate school at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tennessee, where she studied communication studies and journalism. After earning a Bachelor of Arts, Aysia immediately enrolled in law school at Texas Southern University, Thurgood Marshall School of Law, in Houston, Texas, where she earned her Juris Doctor. She is admitted to the State Bar of Texas, and Federal Courts for the Southern District of Texas.

PAST EXPERIENCE

Aysia has a plethora of experience working in both public and private sectors. She has spent many years working with non-profit organizations, such as Food and Friends and Metro Teen Aids. At Metro Teen Aids, Aysia spent the majority of her time working as an advocate for people affected by HIV and aids. Aysia worked to provide effective education on HIV prevention, care, and related issues.

Aysia has also worked with the National Science Foundation as a student intern in the Office of Budget, Finance, and Award Management. Aysia assisted the Chief Financial Officer and other senior staff with various tasks. She worked on the Digital Accountability and Transparency Act (DATA Act), where she prepared a summary of audit/review findings by Offices of Inspector General government-wide for the purpose of comparing and analyzing the National Science Foundation OIG’s DATA Act review findings.

LEADERSHIP AND COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

While in law school, Aysia served as an intern at the Harris County Attorney’s Office. She also worked for Lone Star Legal Aid, where she assisted in providing legal assistance to communities in the Houston area. Aysia assisted with issues such as illegal dumping, water issues, and the degradation of low-income neighborhoods.

Aysia remains active in the Houston Community. She has volunteered with the Third Ward Community Development Corporation and in local Houston schools where she facilitated a high-school level “Street Law” course. Aysia has also volunteered with the NAACP Probono Clinic and the Earl Carl Institute. She has participated in the Wills and Estates Clinic and volunteered with the Innocence Project.
